Hm. Why do they *need* to compete in Division 1? I've seen plenty of Div1
teams that outscored Div2 teams. And it's the journey, not the destination
-- might be worth asking them, they could well surprise you. Just hate to
see someone drop out for this reason. (And yeah, grade might make more sense
-- it'd be harder to verify, but hopefully we aren't that worried about
"ringers").

It would be nice to see this rule apply to grade level instead of age. I
have a 12 year old dyslexic son in the 5th grade and will probably have to
drop out so the rest of his peers (4th and 5th graders) can compete in
Division 1. Just another hurdle kids with disabilities have to face!!
