The FLL store ( run by LEGO Education) told me that the officially
sold FLL kits are not based on NXT 2.0 ( which is retail only), and
they don't need NXT 2.0. I too was concerned like you before we
called. FYI, the NXT 1.0 Robots can still sort or sense colors based
on light levels.
