Speculating about how the mission models will be used is an
entertaining pre-season FLL activity, and maybe will help your team
think outside of the box!
(http://fllblog.wordpress.com/2012/07/25/mission-prediction-2012/ and
http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=19301)
Officially, of course, all* will be revealed about the field setup,
and the missions and penalties on Challenge release day, August 28.
* All except for game updates, of course ;-)
Three comments:
1) I haven't received a field kit yet, but from comments I have seen
on the FLL forums, I doubt that anything was left out.
2) 12 has been the normal number of touch penalty objects for 1
season. I think that it was 8 for a full decade.
3) I had the opportunity to visit Scott Evans this year, but he
hadn't quite finalized the Senior Solutions game, so I cannot (and
won't!) speak with authority about the missions yet. But I can
provide one **WARNING** -- there will be more spaces marked on the
mat than there are pairs of dual-lock pieces in the kit, so please
follow the Field Setup instructions precisely when they are issued.
