We are in elementary school team and use laptops, though I think we're going to give some iPads a try next season. Our laptops are touchscreen and that really works well for our kids using the block coding. The laptops are also easy for us to consolidate code to a flash drives for backup. I definitely recommend touchscreen if you go the laptop route.
