I agree that this possible Summers appointment is very very troubling. As soon as I got wind of it, I went to Obama's web site and sent him a message explaining in some detail why it would be a bad idea. I think that it would be great if he got many many messages from many feminist philosophers and theorists advising against it. I recommend that everybody go to http://change.gov and send a note!
