Area of Specialization: Ethics and/or Political Philosophy, with emphasis on the ethics of immigration, migration, citizenship, or related areas. The ideal candidate will complement the department’s existing strengths in social and political philosophy, feminist philosophy, critical philosophy of race, and Continental philosophy. Preference will be given to candidates whose work is informed by an engagement with the history of philosophy and who have a demonstrated ability to promote dialogue across philosophical traditions. Minimum qualifications:  PhD in philosophy or related fields.

Interested applicants should submit the following materials: (1) a cover letter (2) a Curriculum Vitae, (3) a 3-5 page research statement, (4) a one-page teaching statement, (5) the contact information of 3-5 professional references, and (6) the application materials are to include a statement of how the candidate’s work is relevant to the vision of the University and specifically the place of Rock Institute within it; and how such a position is likely to augment their own work. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2016 and will continue until the position is filled.
