Conference theme:
The full breadth of ethical concern for international development is to be considered for conference presentations, but this eleventh IDEA conference has as its main focus the analysis of the roles of political corruption and anti-corruption within societies, in globalization, and in international development, as well as the modifying effects of democratic governance upon these. IDEA invites presentations from diverse theoretical, conceptual and applied perspectives including philosophical argument, empirical analysis, examinations of policy, and reports and proposals for policy and action informed by practitioner experience in development activities. The conference will engage scholars and practitioners from around the world and from a wide variety of disciplines and activities (including philosophy and other humanities, social sciences, educational sciences, policy studies, development, social work, NGOs, IGOs, local and global agencies and organizations, government officials and policy makers). IDEA particularly welcomes submissions from scholars and practitioners in countries of the global South.

A. Submission of Paper Abstracts: 
The proposals should include:
1.         Title and abstract of up to 500 words, and five keywords
2.         Name, affiliation (if applicable), and contact information
3.         A biography of under 100 words (for the conference program)
B. Panel proposals: IDEA invites proposals of panels that address one of the themes or sub-themes mentioned above. Panel proposals should include four paper abstracts (see submission details above) and, additionally, a description of the panel theme (500 words), including name, affiliation (if applicable) and contact information of panel chair.
C. Young Scholar Meets Senior Sessions: Graduate students can present their research plan or work in progress. Proposals should be as above, with “Young Scholar Sessions:” appended to start of title. IDEA stalwarts will provide feedback and chair the discussion. Graduate students can also submit paper abstracts and panel proposals for regular sessions.
D. Practitioner Presentations: Practitioners of non-governmental organizations, government agencies, religious communities and other civil society groups can submit a proposal for a presentation that need not be based on a research paper. Proposals should be as above, with “Practitioner Presentation:” appended to start of title.
 E. Global Justice Network pre-conference workshop: The Global Justice Network will host a pre-conference workshop on ethical aspects of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) on June 22, 2016. A Call for Papers will follow in due course. F. Publications: IDEA has affiliation with Journal of Global Ethics and informal association also with Ethics and Social Welfare and Ethique/Economique: Ethics and Economics. A selection of papers developed from conference submissions is slated for a 2017 issue of Journal of Global Ethics, guest edited by Gillian Brock and Julian Culp. 
Conference language: English, Turkish (simultaneous translation for some plenary sessions).
