Dear friends and colleagues:

I am quite sorrowful tonight, as I grieve the death of my friend, fellow ecofeminist philosopher, tireless feminist activist and defender of the nonhuman environment, courageous scholar, and leader in interconnected social justice movements and causes. I will miss her terribly.

Karen

P.S. Discussion of plans to commemorate Val at the October 18-20 International Associaton for Environmental Philosophy (IAEP) Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA are underway already. Details will follow.
