The Department of Philosophy, University of Toronto Mississauga, invites applications for a tenured appointment in the area of Moral or Political Philosophy at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, beginning July 1, 2010. We seek candidates with expertise in either Moral or Political philosophy. Teaching load is normally two courses per semester (including graduate and undergraduate courses). Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University of Toronto, Department of Philosophy is a three-campus graduate department, consisting of all philosophy faculty appointed to the St. George, Mississauga (UTM), or Scarborough campuses. Faculty carry out their undergraduate duties at the campus to which they are appointed; graduate teaching and supervision typically take place on the St. George campus. Successful candidates will have the following qualifications: a doctoral degree; a distinguished and internationally recognized program of research; and evidence of an accomplished teaching record.
