What heartbreaking news. For me as a philosopher new to the profession
in 2003, Claudia extended herself as a source of support on a number of
occasions. She showed such an intense interest and level of care, I was
both moved and surprised (we didn't know one another before this). She
is a model for me of what a senior woman colleague can be, and can mean
to someone more junior. All that above and beyond her extraordinary and
important philosophical work... I won't be at FEAST this year, but I
will wish I were there with the rest of you remembering her.
