Deadline: May 15, 2011
 
The Disability & Popular Culture area of the MPCA invites proposals (or
abstracts) for papers on any aspect of the intersection of disability and
popular culture.  All topics, approaches, and perspectives related to
disability and popular culture are welcome.  Interdisciplinary perspectives
are encouraged, as are discussions of new directions in disability studies
and popular culture studies.
 
Proposals should be 250-300 words in length, and must be received by May 15,
2011.  Along with the proposal, please be sure to include:
1. name
2. title of paper/presentation
3. institutional affiliation (e.g. department and university)
4. postal address
5. email address
6. request for TV & DVD player, if needed

For co-authored papers, please include the above information for each
author/presenter.

Note: please do not submit the same item to more than one Area Chair.
