According to an announcement from Fiqa Council of North America Ramadan will
begin on Friday, July 20, 2012. Here are some highlights or Ramadan program
at the Islamic Center of Shenandoah Valley:

1.     First night of Traveeh will be Thursday, July 19. Isha prayer timing
is 10:04. The group which meets for Traveeh can determine the future timing
of Isha prayers and Traveeh.

2.     There will be community Iftar programs on every Saturday and Sunday
(Except the last Saturday of Ramadan on August 18).

 

Community Iftar dates:

a.     Saturday, July 21

b.     Sunday, July 22

c.     Saturday, July 28

d.     Sunday, July 29

e.     Saturday, August 4

f.      Sunday, August 5

g.     Saturday, August 11

h.     Sunday, August 12

i.      Saturday, August 18 (No community Iftar program. Mosque will be
setup for Eid prayers and community breakfast. Need volunteers to help)

3.     All Iftar dinners are family events. Please bring your families,
favorite foods and soft drinks. 

4.     Sunday, August 19, Eid ul Fitr, Eid prayers will be held at 9:30 AM.
There will be a community breakfast after the prayers. More information
about Eid program will be forthcoming
