Thank you Jeff for sharing this.

I guess I have had a more stereotypical view of both philosophers until now (but I really only read one complete work from each, so that's probably why). What is most intriguing from what you share, is how different they now seem. Before, Aristotle was to Plato as Verne was to Wells (to me). Verne was great, but he was overly concerned with the physical evidence (how, why). Wells, on the other hand, was more of an early social psychologist (why not?).

Anyway, this is very helpful - I am grateful to have a more rounded perspective now, that elevates Aristotle from my prior thoughts of his thoughts.
