What about NXT bricks?  all of our bricks, we have a couple, have my 
initials and a phone number, in case they get misplaced.  I wanted mark them 
on the underside but that is the battery cover and easily removeable.  The 
markings are only for ownership and recovery purposes and have nothing to do 
with running the robot, and they are fairly indiscrete.
