Hello all!

Thanks to all the volunteers and coordinators for the FLL competitions. We
appreciate all the effort that goes into planning and executing the
competitions.

The feedback is intended to be constructive and in support of the FIRST
vision.

The takeaway from judges feedback is significant to the growth and
development of the teams who are showcasing the hardwork, commitment and
passion put into the project, teambuilding and design of their robots.

Teams establish ground rules to help them succeed. It’s recommended FIRST
also establish ground rules to ensure each team receives adequate feedback
for EVERY team that has shown up present their hardwork in the best way
they know how.

I’m attaching a picture of the judges eval from our teams robot design
session to say this should be an example of what judges shouldn’t do.

I’m also attaching a picture of the teams robot so others can see it was a
simple box design.
the team deserved more input than this. They worked hard and the
expectation is to receive constructive criticism.

They also put a number at the top of all the robot design sheets for
division 1 which seems to represent the final placement .

Feedback for you to consider for future competitions...establish ground
rules / standards even if its a simple print out for judges to have in
front of them when they judge.

Thanks again for all that you do to support kids exposure to STEM.
