As Nick Swayne mentioned, the 2015/2016 FLL Trash Trek field set-up kit will start shipping by early August.

To help guide rookie FLL teams and Robotics Program Administrators who are new to the FLL program, please read to the information below regarding the FLL field set-up kit...

A.  You must be a registered FLL team via FLL TIMS for the 2015 Trash Trek season and have paid for the $225 FIRST registration fee to order the FLL field set-up kit.
To order the field set-up kit...
1) Login to your FLL TIMS.
2) Go to "Team Summary".
3) Click on "Order" under Product Ordering section.  This will redirect you to the LEGO Education site.
4)  You will be required to enter your official FLL team number to place an order.  It will not accept temporary FIRST team numbers.
5)  You will  be required to enter a valid email address to place an order.  Only the official team contacts (there should be 2 per team) and/or the official purchaser (as listed on your FLL TIMS) can make this purchase.  The LEGO Education site will not allow other persons to make this purchase for your team.
When you order the FLL field set-up kit now, it will indicate that it is in "backorder".  This only means that the kit will not be shipped until August.

B.  An FLL team should order the FLL field set-up kit (Cost: $75) every season.  The FLL challenge changes every season.  A field set-up kit includes one season field mat and LEGO pieces to build the season's challenge mission set.

C.  FLL teams should plan to set aside time to build the mission set.  The field set-up kit will include LEGO pieces packaged in bags.  All these pieces are needed to build the mission set.  Instructions on how to build each mission piece will be available on-line to all registered FLL teams.  These building instructions can be viewed by registered FLL teams once they start shipping the field kits.  It is very important that teams follow the instructions so that a mission can work properly.

D.  A registered FLL team can only purchase one (1) FLL field set-up kit.  A team cannot purchase multiple field set-up kits. The main purpose of this field set-up kit is to give the FLL team the materials to prepare for the robot game.  The FLL field set-up kit is only for the team to use during practice and preparation for tournaments.  FLL teams DO NOT bring the field set-up kit to the actual tournament site.  The tournament will have their own FLL field (mat and mission set) to use during the robot game rounds.

E.  The FLL field set-up kit does not include the FLL practice table.  Instructions on how to build a practice table is available to team contacts/coaches via the FLL website.  Go to:

F.  FLL field set-up kits will not ship until August.  For teams who already paid for their field set-up kits, they might even get it as early as end of July.  However, details about how to set-up each mission piece on the field map and the 2015 FLL Trash Trek robot game rules will be available after 12:00 pm (EST) on Tuesday, August 25.  This information will be available on-line via the FLL website.

Does anyone know when Lego Education will be sending the kits out? I ordered ours a month ago and recently sent an email asking but have not gotten a reply.
