Sorry I didn't include this in the first e-mail.

The swap meet will be from 5 pm until 8 pm. It will be informal - I will have two volunteers there to help but it will mainly be guided by a demonstration of gracious professionalism.

Nick,

This is Angie Fontanilla from Oak Hill Elementary in Herndon, VA. We have one team from our school (Team# 1991: Super Computers) competing in the state tournament. I sent the questions below to the vadcfll.org. I did see your email sent to the teams who particpated in the regional tournament on 11/7 at Franklin Middle School in Chantilly, VA about the tentative schedule for the state tournament--so that answered questions 2 & 3 on my original message. I was wondering if you can answer the other questions I sent.

Also--about the swap meet on Friday, 12/4 at the Children's Museum...what's the tentative time for that event? Parents will need to know when they should get their kids to Harrisonburg--we are 2 1/2 hours away from JMU.

Thanks, in advance, for our help.

Another question:

On the VA/DC FLL website, it mentioned pre-registration for Student Programs at JMU on 12/5. However, the website link it referred to for pre-registration (www.vadcfll.org/tournaments/championship) is not working. Here's the link to the webpage about this information: http://www.vadcfll.org/championship/parents.html.

I wanted to inform the parents in our team about this...but would like to make sure that I send them the correct information. Please advise.

thanks,

To Whom It May Concern,

One of our school's FLL team (Team# 1991: Super Computers) was invited to the Virginia FLL State Championship Tournament at JMU on December 5th & 6th. I am a new administrator to our school's Lego League program. There is very little information on the VA FLL website about the state championship tournament. I hope that you can answer these questions or direct me to the right person or group:

1. Is there an on-line registration site that teams have to go to in order to officially register for the state competition?

2. Our FLL teams are sponsored by our school's PTA. How much is the registration fee and who should the check be made payable to?

3. Is there a general schedule of events available to participating teams? The students in this team live about 2 1/2 hours away from JMU. Families would like to know what time the event would start on Saturday, 12/5, so they can decide if they can just leave early morning on Saturday to make it to JMU or should they get hotel accommodations the night before to make sure that their child can make it to the Opening Ceremony on time. The answer to this question will affect the team's lodging plans.

4. Is there a different Consent Form to fill out for this tournament? Or, do we use the same form used for the Regional Tournament?

5. For the regional tournament our teams attended, the organizer was able to send us a detailed team schedule a week before the event. Will the teams participating in the state championship receive a detailed team schedule before competition day?

Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.
