Hi Everyone,

I am writing to inform you of a great opportunity to get started in LEGO
robotics if you live in the Richmond VA area. The Center for the Creative
Arts, who graciously supports both an FLL and an FRC team, is offering a
spring break robotics camp.

Here are the details from their spring brochure:

Robotics! - AGES 9-14

APRIL 5-9

Learn how to build and design Robots using the Lego NXT system. Students
will learn basic robotic engineering, programming principals, and the Lego
Mindstorms NXT Robotics Invention system. No previous experience required.
Instructor Julie Eberheim is the coach of teams that have won regional
awards in the First Lego League in 2007 and 2008, and in the 2009 FIRST TECH
CHALLENGE - a high school league.

Mon-Friday, 4:30-7:30 pm $135.00 per week. Enrollment is limited to 9
students and fills up very quickly.

The Center is also offering summer camps both during the day and evening for
robotics. More information can be found on their website
www.center4creativearts.org <http://www.center4creativearts.org/> .

I will be teaching the robotics class along with my FRC robotics team
members (who were also on my FLL team for the first two years). Our class
is structured to the level of knowledge of the participants and we have
accommodated beginners and intermediate/advanced robotics students.

If you know anyone who would be interested in these classes - most
especially the spring break class that has only 3 openings left, please
contact the Center's director Sue Brown:
