Lego just announced Python is now available as a text-based programming
option for EV3s
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__education.lego.com_en-2Dus_support_mindstorms-2Dev3_python-2Dfor-2Dev3&d=DwIBaQ&c=eLbWYnpnzycBCgmb7vCI4uqNEB9RSjOdn_5nBEmmeq0&r=J5fb0ELkRoh7TzAGYz99sSMvB-c7i4AC0HDT2OVPrww&m=O5I3mJ3fCtkOWu-KYyeC488gbMH8oODOLsgpAlO2bpQ&s=hO5OuKFELiTg9tiNoQo_zp8GOJCml54l5euKH1nQKYg&e=

Based on the previous announcements stating that text-based programming
will be allowed starting this fall, I am pretty sure that Python will be
permitted using this method.

Robot Design judging will potentially be very interesting this year!
