In addition to returning judging rubrics with comments, tournaments are encouraged to also return the score sheets completed by the referees. For example, any team that competed at the Maggie L. Walker Governor's School Regional Qualifying event got their score sheets returned. These teams can open the EV3Lessons scoring app and enter the results marked by the referee. They will then have data to compare. VA/DC teams were in many different tournaments on Nov. 7th and there is a lot of good data that could be used to validate the app if there is still any doubt.

After the initial practice matches were completed at Maggie Walker I accompanied the score sheet runner to the scoring table where each sheet was entered twice by two different people. Their results must match. I entered the referee marks into the EV3Lessons app as well as an app I downloaded onto my phone. The scores matched. While not an exhaustive proof, based on that experience and that no coach challenged a score the entire tournament I surmise that the EV3Lessons app is calculating correctly.
