Our team (team Road Runner) had a blast- they were an all new rookie
team- so our expectations were to check it all out- I agree- all was
very well run- thank you to everyone involved at Maggie Walker.
because our team switched robots and plans multiple times- and we were
a new team- we only had two missions completed prior- they were able
to make both happen at the table, so they were happy- we had better
consistency at school. I think they all want to do it again next
year. I was proud of our team for their first go round- and it was
really fun to watch all the teams! Did anyone do the bridge? I never
saw it? Laura Dysart:) Have fun for those teams next weekend!!
Are there any classes or groups to help new coaches learn some of the
more advanced programming- not to "tell the kids" what to do- but to
have the knowledge to ask the questions and guide them. Our programs
were very basic- which again, I think fine for a first year team- they
had a fun attachment. The tutorials helped me only so much. I'd like
to definitely line up a mentor and another coach for our team next
year in advance. My team would like to keep meeting to play around
with the programming and the robot.
