Hello!

We have wrapped up three weeks of regional qualifying VIRTUAL tournaments.  We saw so much hard work, innovation, and teamwork from our awesome VA-DC FLL Challenge teams.  It absolutely was a testament to the strength and perseverance of our community.

Now, we are gearing up for a 64 team VA-DC FIRST LEGO League Championship event and we would love for you or someone in your community to join us.  These teams are so excited to showcase and celebrate their work.  You are sure to have an awesome time!  This is also a great time to learn more about the program.  You really get a better understanding when you volunteer as a judge or referee!

We are looking for referees and judges ( Core Values, Innovation Project, and Robot Design) as well as virtual room greeters and technical help!

  *   Judges (18+):  Would be needed from 8am-4pm (with time for lunch and breaks) on February 27th.  Interview and evaluate teams based on role-specific area
  *   Referees (17+):  Would be needed from 8am-4pm (with time for lunch and breaks) on February 27th.  Review and score robot game rounds submitted by teams.
  *   Virtual Room Greeters (16+):   Would be needed from 9am-3pm (with time for lunch and break) on February 27th.  Greet teams before their judging session and do a quick audio and visual check with them.
  *   Technical Streaming support (17+):  Would be needed at various times on February 27th and/or 28th.  Looking for assistance with streaming event activities and the closing ceremony.
