At the end of the match, Red blood cells will count for scoring anywhere in the field.  The only ones that won't count are the ones the referee has taken off the field and out of play.

The only location that is relevant for the red blood cells is the patient area. If any red blood cells are in the patient area at the end of the match, then the white blood cells cannot count for scoring.
