The number of awards and advancing teams from each tournament is determined by the number of teams in each division at each event (the more teams in a division, the more awards and advancing teams). The same percentage is used across all tournaments and each tournament is handled separately/independently. The actual percentage will be determined when we see how many teams we have registering to compete in regional events and which divisions they are in so we don't have any of that info at this time and won't for a while. Each tournament will receive an individual guideline on the number of teams to advance and they cannot add additional teams because we have limited space at the state championship. The tournaments do not have the power to advance more teams than they are authorized to advance. Same for awards - we will send the tournament a set of awards based on the number of teams they have and they cannot add additional official awards.
Thanks,
Karen

Top few teams from each tournament location go there or
Would there be a situation that all the teams going to state championships could be from one tournament location (cutoff based) or
