Hi Karen...
We'd like to do the Brick by Brick Shipbuilding event - both The Ruling Robot Falcons and the Waffle Bunnies - if you still have rooms for teams. Morning would be better, but anytime is good for us!
Thanks much!Amy

FLL Teams, There are two upcoming FLL events in the Hampton Roads area that I wanted to make folks aware of: Brick by Brick Lego Ship Building Event and the Hampton Roads Spring FLL Scrimmage.  We're looking for teams interested in participating in either or both.  If you are interested in either of them or just want more information, let me know.  Feel free to pass the information below along to anyone who might be interested.

Spring FLL Scrimmage:* When: Saturday, June 2nd, approximately 9 am - 2 pm * Where: Christopher Newport University, Newport News VA
 * Who: Any group of 9-14 year old students interested in having a team (you do NOT need to be a registered FLL team)
 * Cost: FREE for teams and spectators.  Food will be available for purchase if interested.  There will be lots of other STEM activities at the event as well.
 * Challenge: FLL 2017 Challenge - Hydro Dynamics (if you are a new team and need the field challenge, please contact me).  The tournament will be robot game and informal robot design judging only.  No presentation or core values judging sessions.  We will not use age divisions but will likely have rookie and veteran team divisions so this will be a great place to try FLL for the first time.* Jr. FLL teams are needed for a possible expo - if we get enough interest, we'll do an expo!
Brick by Brick Lego Ship Building Event* When: Saturday, February 3rd, 10am-4 pm* Where: Hampton Roads Naval Museum, Norfolk VA* What: Fun public event including Lego ship building contests and opportunities, play areas for all ages, robotics demonstrations, etc.* FLL teams are needed to demo their robots.  A table/field will be provided and the entire team does not need to be there.  Teams can sign up for whatever amount of time they would like* Even if your team doesn't participate in the demo, feel free to just come out and enjoy the event!  More info will be available if you're interested.
Let me know if you have any questions, would like more information or are interested in participating.  Thanks, Karen-----------Karen [log in to unmask] UNSUBSCRIBE or CHANGE your settings, please visit https://listserv.jmu.edu/archives/vadcfll-l.html and select "Join or leave the list".
