I truly agree! Even if you don't feel ready, it is so much fun to go and the kids have such a great time. I think for our team is made the whole thing just make so much for sense to them after they had been through the tournament. If you keep the "We have FUN" Core Value as your beacon, then wherever you are in the process, you will be ready! And really...the tournament really is so much fun! To see all the other teams and the kids who love the same thing there, and everyone cheers for everyone else...well, it's just fun! Go and have a great time! :)

The Championship tournament (which you must qualify for through the regional events) is the first weekend in December. We have to run it then due to the calendar at JMU which is our partner and runs that event. I strongly recommend that teams participate in a regional event in November, even if they don't feel now like they'll be ready then. I think a number of the experienced coaches will agree that you often never feel like you're ready but the kids are! The kids will learn a ton in the process leading up to the event as well as at the event and have a lot of fun. And we have a LOT of rookie teams each year so you won't be alone!
