Few clarification about the Table and Game rounds duration.

Game time (2.5 Minutes) + rest time for scoring and reset table.
Judging - (5 minutes Presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)

To avoid any slippage in schedule, teams are requested to queue 10 minutes before the game/judging time. Designate two adults with copies of the team schedules to listen for queuing calls and to keep the team on schedule. While in queue for Judging help Judges Assistant keep hallway quiet.

Only team members and three adults (Coach. Co-coach and historian/mentor/photographer) are allowed in Judging room. Judges are volunteers and see multiple presentations in a day with short breaks, so keep presentation short and memorable. Usually no Audio/Video equipments are available in the Judging rooms.

Every site will have practice tables in the Pit area for teams to fine tune their programs before they head to the game round. Usually we ask teams to schedule in advance no more then 5 minutes of practice table usage.

Due to space constrains and personnel safety reasons, teams should not take their mats and/or tables to the pit area or spread on hallway. Depending on the site, their will be charging stations in the Pit area for team use and occupancy may be limited to team members only.

As you've seen, people have a wide variety of experiences to tell you
about.  Specifics about number of rounds and length of
 judging
sessions vary depending on the tournament.

In Virginia/DC you'll see:
- at least one practice round of the Robot Game
- at least three competition rounds of the Robot Game
- three judging sessions (in my experience, these are usually 10 minutes each)
- interaction with other teams
- ceremonies and recognition
- lots of fun!

I am confident that you won't feel like there was too little to do to
make it worthwhile!

I am planning to send my "What to expect at your tournament" message
in a day or two, which has some additional information.
