All FLL teams in the greater Charlottesville area,

February 27- from 10 am - 4 pm for the Tech Fair.

If anyone is interested in doing an FLL demonstration at upcoming FTC events at UVA please let me know. This would be a great opportunity for you to showcase your robot and let the FTC guys see what its like to have a fully autonomous robot for 2.5 minutes (they control their robots with joysticks)

Nick

Nick ,

Thanks for all the support! I've included the event flyer which has location, date and time (see below). Although the event officially kicks off at 10:00am on 2/27. The facility will be open much earlier allowing Tech Fair participants to set up ahead of time. Also, please feel free to list me as the POC.

Thanks!
Chris

Chris,

I was about to send out the message when I discovered that the date/location were not included. Since this is a new event for me (us), I'm not on the inside in terms of that info. Can you give me details so I can forward them to the teams?

Do you want me to list you as the contact person?

Nick

Chris,

I'll send it out to the listserv - but most teams have stopped monitoring it by now.

I'll try to sort out a list from the Charlottesville area and send direct e-mails to coaches. I know we had a very strong team from Charlottesville who competed in Harrisonburg this year.

Thanks Darlene! I'll reach out to Jan and confirm she's planning to attend and can handle the FTC robot.

Hi Nick - Do you think any FLL teams would be interested in setting up a demo at the upcoming FTC event? If so, could you help connect me to the right person. Thanks

The FTC teams are attending the event. Since the kit is reused, there are no old robots. I can bring one to demo if there is someone to take care of it.

Jan Parker is in charge of the FRC team: [log in to unmask] Last time we talked, she was planning on being there. If so, they could handle the FTC robot.

As to FLL, you will have to ask Nick. I cannot access that information.

Hi Darlene,

I wanted to reach out to some Charlottesville FIRST programs to see if any are interested in attending the event and showcasing their robots. My thinking is that because their local, the logistics will be easier for them. Below are the ones I'm aware of. Can you provide contacts for these programs? Do you know of any Charlottesville schools doing FRC? Also, do you have any other suggestions in terms of teams who may be interested in demoing they're robot?

Obviously the FTC team would need to have an old robot to demo or be a school not participating in the competition. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!
