How can I improve the way the US FIRST Discussion forum administrators learn how to prevent spam?

OK, my kids didn't come up with that question, but I did. Have you guys
seen the spam bomb that was dropped in the US FIRST discussion forum? There
are THOUSANDS of spam messages in there over the last 12 hours. They need
to shut the forum down and get that cleaned out and fixed with some spam
prevention measures.
