No specific design tips are appropriate for this list.  Teams take a hint
from Rule 42, bullet 11, "You won’t get help/advice about building or
programming (that’s your challenge)."

Coaching strategies are a different matter, of course!

I've heard that the Obstacles are hard no matter what you try.  We'll see
over the next several weekends...

What should teams do?
1)  Observe what happens when your robot engages with the Obstacles
2)  Think about what is happening that you don't like.  What kinds of
things can you do with your robot and its programming to eliminate or
minimize them, or change them into something less annoying?
3)  Look at the the parts you have on hand to build with.  Look at the
things that your programming language could be able to do.
4)  Experiment
5)  Test
