Congratulations Vector 67!! What an awesome performance! This is the kind of news that gives me shivers – the good kind. You make us all proud.
Virginia is a force to be reckoned with, in a Gracious Professionalism kind of way (of course); the most dynamic state in the nation. How wonderful it is to serve our students, this organization, and our community.

Subject: [VADCFLL-L] Vector 67 turns in a great performance at World Festival 2010
All,
I just got back from the 2010 World Festival in Atlanta.
It was an incredible event with about 40,000 people attending. There were 85 FLL teams present – including the Chinese National Team, National Champs from the UK, Spain, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Columbia, Egypt, Jordan, teams from nearly every state and many others countries.
Given this amazing level of competition there were a few teams who really stood out. Virginia’s own Vector 67 proved to be a dominant force in robot performance – posting perfect 400s for three consecutive competition rounds (not to mention the practice rounds).
To break the tie they did a final round for both score and time. In this tie-breaker, one access marker was hit but didn’t trip so Vector 67 is coming home with overall 2nd place in Robot Performance.
That is truly remarkable given the level of competition!
Please give a warm welcome home and congratulations to Vector 67!
And a special thanks to the Virginia Technology Alliance for their sponsorship.
Nick
