Hi Steve,

We're also a rookie team.

We used a jig that aligns itself to the corner of the table. We were told
that is allowed but the jig cannot be touched.
The jig can also be removed after the robot is in place. We're using a
delay when starting the robot and reduce the
speed so the ev3 does not jump off the jig. The kids should have fun
building the jig. Good luck!
