Hello FLL coaches and teams,

Here are 2 EXCITING opportunities for teams to showcase FLL!

SATURDAY, MARCH 1ST
State Championship- FIRST Tech Challenge(FTC) and
Junior FIRST LEGO League (Jr.FLL) Expo
Arthur Ashe Center
Richmond, VA

48 High School/Middle School teams will be competing in their Championship
Event, as well as 15 Jr.FLL teams participating in a Jr.FLL Expo - a great day -
high energy -lots of excitement - amazing robots - cool LEGO models!

There will be 2 shifts with two teams per shift.
9:00 am - 12:30 pm
12:30 pm - 4:00 pm

The entire team doesn't need to come, even the coach and a few students is
great! Teams will be able to watch the FTC event and cheer on their favorite
team! FTC will be all day, while the Jr.FLL Expo will be only in the morning.

There will be an FLL table set-up, so your team should just bring their robot
and any display boards or materials.

SATURDAY, MARCH 22ND
Virginia Regional - FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
Siegel Center
Richmond, VA

This competition features the large (120 lb) High School robots playing
“Aerial Assist”- this year a ball-toss game!
In addition to the FRC robots, all FIRST programs will be featured.

There will be 2 shifts with two teams per shift.
9:00 am - 12:30 pm
12:30 pm - 4:00 pm

The entire team doesn't need to come, even the coach and a few students is
great! Teams will be able to cheer on their favorite FRC team, put on safety
glasses and go into the pits to see the teams up close, working on their robots
and see the cool exhibits in Technology Row.

If your team is interested in either of these events, please let me know - your
team will be glad they participated!!
