I have had my other team program on ev3 for 4 years and they never had
issues. Yes the robot does depend on sensors and the calibration etc varies
from lighting to lighting but we never had ev3 mis-behave. Probably since
you are changing the batteries the wires were switched around. Or possibly
if you change the distance between wheels the turns can be different. But
restarting the ev3 usually solves most of the problem. Also charging the
battery is critical as it doesnt perform the same with a low charge
compared to a full charge.
