Welcoming all young engineers!

Nova Labs is running several summer camps this year. RobotMakers (Gr 6-8) is our premier camp that teaches kids how to confidently code robots to navigate obstacle courses using ALL the sensors, even the tricksy gyroscope sensor, as well as learn to write a proper line-following routine. On the last day, students use their newfound programming prowess to build a custom robot for a robot-wrestling tournament with their parents as spectators. JavaBots is a brand-new camp designed by Spencer Allain, lead mentor for FRC Epsilon Delta, and it focuses on learning Java programming skills for FTC and FRC success, but with smaller, simpler, pre-built robots. Pushbot Phantasm is our FTC prep camp, and it teaches a combination of CAD design, Java programming, and Tetrix building skills so that campers end the week ready to tackle FTC challenges. All Nova Labs Robotics camps are led primarily by our veteran FTC and FRC teen students because we find that campers love the energy and enthusiasm of teens. Adult chaperones are experienced STEM teachers and coaches, creating a summer camp with more enthusiasm and technical know-how than other area options in a makerspace brimming with creative energy.

Our camps are our primary fundraiser for the Nova Labs Robotics program, but we also have generous sponsorships from bti360 and Amazon, so please contact [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> if you need financial assistance.
