It is a good idea to have at least one parent per kid especially since this
is the first year. There is a lot of running around to do from place to
place for robot runs and judging sessions. Having extra set of hands to get
the team time on the practice table, scout out the judging session rooms,
keep track of the kids as they roam around to see other teams, pick up
lunch, bring snacks, etc., is very helpful. As a coach you will have too
many other things to take care of to be doing these things. There are three
adults allowed in the judging session so parents can take turns going into
the three judging sessions as well.
