If anyone is interested in teaming up with me to get this group going, please feel free to contact me.
If you like hiking, we may meet in the following events that I have signed on (also a MeetUp group related activities) -
"Easy Side of Moderate: Potomac River, Mather Gorge, Great Falls!" on coming Sunday - http://www.midatlantichiking.com/events/16380382/
or
"Appalachian Trail Hike! Caledonia SP: Big Pine Flat Ridge and Fire Tower! 11 miles"
http://www.midatlantichiking.com/events/15535182/

Sign up and only $1 per event, and people are really nice. I took my very first hike on Saturday with the MeetUp and I loved it!

There is an organization called AFOL (Adult Fans of Lego).  I don’t know much about how to find or start a local meeting but this link may help:

I have been asked to survey to see if there are any serious LEGO adult hobbyists here in central Virginia that might be interested in joining a club (i.e. meet once a month to show off what they've been working on - techniques, etc. - but they also do public showings and displays to let the general public see what they're up to).  If you are one of these folks, or know other who might be, please contact Mr. Jonathan Formo, [log in to unmask]  Jonathan is on the volunteer list for the Lynchburg Regional FIRST Lego League Tournament.

My thanks to you all.  Have a great weekend!
