My group (and I) had a great time yesterday at the Gar-Field regional. Very special thanks to Denyse and Steve who spent time to talk with the teams even in the midst of their hectic day. I loved to see other coaches engaging the kids about their project and robot. We had countless examples of table refs and others interacting with the kids and increasing their fun. We had one volunteer who none of us had met before come to our team and talk to them about what didn't go right in their Round 1 and what they were going to do about it. We had a coach (from another school) graciously agree to swap practice times with us to help us out.

The kids exceeded my expectations, but in part it is due to the wonderful environment created at this event.

Very proud and grateful to be a part of Old Bridge Elementary Robotics, Prince William County Schools, and the First Lego League.

With kindest regards and thanks,
Jeff Borek on behalf of the Robodolphins
