I asked the same question and received the below response.  (To give some
context I was searching for expo opportunities for my Falls Church Jr
Team.  I saw the November tournaments on the VADCFLL website and asked
whether those tournaments included Jr expo opportunities). Karen Berger was
very helpful and provided this response:

[Some of the regional tournaments do have Jr.FLL expos but it is site
dependent (depends on the size of the venue, availability of volunteers,
etc.).  The tournament director for the Falls Church event is Alex Nette
and he will have to let you know if they will have Jr. FLL or not.  If they
don't, some of the other Northern VA tournaments probably will.

The November regionals and December state tournament are the only official
events in Virginia/DC.  There will be some additional "off season"
unofficial events throughout the spring but we do not run those officially
and some may have Jr. FLL expos and some may not.  Most will be announced
on this listserv.  I don't know what is on tap for January/February (none
come to mind but some stuff might pop up).]

Skip, where is your team located?  I wonder if, in the absence of Jr expo
opportunites at the official events, we can get enough JR teams that are
proximate to one another to set up an unofficial Jr event.
