Thanks for the quick reply Steve.

That makes sense, the challenge guide states, move any part of the satellite between the 2 lines. I guess the referee will look 90 degrees from above to determine if the part is above the 2 lines.

Regards,
Cedric

For M12 (and other missions), "above" is literally "above the two lines". (See rule GP2.)

In the 8 point picture for M12, the main body of the Satellite (it's Satellite V) is somewhere "southwest" of the two lines of the Outer Orbit. But notice that part of the Satellite (the long gray thin piece) is directly over the Outer Orbit area. That's why that position is worth 8 points. In the neighboring picture, Satellite X is completely interior/northeast of the Outer Orbit area, which is why it would score 0 points.

Hi Coaches and Referees,

My team has a question about the M12- Satellite Orbit mission. The Challenge guide states
"on or above the area between the 2 lines of the outer orbit". Please see the attached image file
(challengeguideM12.jpg) where the satellite is placed in front of the double lines
indicating this is 8 points. Is this position the "above" mentioned in the Challenge guide or
is "above" literally above the "2 lines"?

In my attachment M12positions.jpg, please advise of the 4 positions, which ones would
be 8 points. Per the image and statement in the Challenge guide, it should be 1 and 2.
Is this correct?

Thank you,
Cedric D'Costa
