Anant made a couple of key points. This is yet another justification for
the use of My Blocks.

There are many ways to do it using print-to-PDF (Adobe or CutePDF),
Microsoft Snipping Tool, etc. My kids weren't happy with just a print-out
so they put together a procedure to use Microsoft OneNote and Microsoft
Paint to create a cropped JPEG image:

   1. In the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 software, with the desired Project and
Program open, in the task bar, select File, then Print (or just Ctrl+P).
   2. In the Print pop-up window, under Settings, ensure both Entire View
and Normal are selected, then click Print.
   3. Click Preferences. Under Select Printer, select Send To OneNote
   2013.
   4. In the Orientation pull-down menu, select Landscape, click OK
   5. Click Print.
   6. Expand My Notebook and double-click on the appropriate notebook (FLL
   in the example).
   7. Click on picture to ensure it is selected (the dots should show up
around the edges of the picture).
   8. Rick click on the picture and select Save As...
   9. Name the file with a unique, descriptive name (ex: Truck mission.png).
   10. In Windows Explorer, go to the directory in which you saved the
   image and select the image.
   11. Right click on the file and select Open with then select Paint.
   12. Click the Select icon then highlight the desired section of the
   image.
   13. Click on the Crop icon.
   14. Save the file. If desired, save as a JPEG format by doing Save As
   and changing the file type.

If you want images to go along with these steps, email me and I will send
you a PDF of the procedures.
