We want to echo our sincere thanks to all who made the regional and state
tournaments happen and run so smoothly that it felt like they had always
been done that way!

We did not get to thank the amazing folks at Maggie Walker who really made
our first regional virtual tournament fun! The kids had no idea what to
expect at that point and the virtual greeters in the room beforehand made
it all ok. The judges at regionals who gave the kids positive feedback
while they were still in the rounds was something I had never seen before
and it gave the kids GREAT recognition for their hard work and was clearly
very thoughtful!

At state, we loved getting to see the projects and about the teams in the
virtual pits and loved watching the robot rounds in the showcase. The
judges were very kind and made the kids feel comfortable even across the
digital divide. The head ref was very responsive and took great time with
the kids when they had a question.

And making it all happen were the VA-DC FLL core group. Thank you Kaitlyn
and Karen and all of you who worked so hard at VA-DC FLL!

We appreciate you!
