*2015 ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMPS – AGES 9-14*














*The Center for Creative Arts offers one of the most popular Robotics Camps
in the Greater Richmond Area!  Camps are taught and mentored by the coaches
and team members of award-winning Robotics teams!  Campers build robots
using LEGO Technic parts and program the robots to perform various tasks on
laptops.  (Please note this is not a LEGO play camp.)Students learn how to
build and design robots using the LEGO EV3 system.  Students learn basic
robotic engineering, programming principals, and the LEGO Mindstorms EV3
Robotics Invention System.  Teamwork skills are emphasized as students work
together in small groups to design, build, and program robots to complete
various tasks.  Family and friends are invited to a presentation on the
last day of camp.  No previous experience required.**LEGOS & ROBOTS!  *














*$175.00 /week.Instructor Julie Eberheim is the coach of teams that have
won regional and State awards in the First Lego League in 2007 and 2008 and
in the 2009 FIRST TECH CHALLENGE – a high school league.  This team won
local and regional competitions in 2011 and went on to compete at The World
Tournament in St. Louis!!!  (Center/Chapel Building)Session I:  June 22
-26,  5:30-8:30 p.m.Session II: August 10-14, 5:30-8:30 p.m.Instructors:
 Cheryl Kaplan & Ann Kutz - Mentors Deep Run Robotics Team 1086 - The Blue
Cheese along with Team members will lead this class.  The Instructors are
former **FIRST*

competitions.Education BuildingSession I: July 13-17, 9:15 a.m.-12:15
p.m.Session II: July 20-24, 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.Instructor:  Susan Steenrod

winning teams in Virginia/DC regional competitions.  Center/Chapel
