Thanks Mark,

Everyone is hoping you and your team have a great experience and share a lot of pictures that reflect your touch with Nature’s Fury (hopefully from a safe distance).

Nick

Nick
I wanted to let you know our team is safe and that weather conditions are improving each day here. The kids are all excited to begin the tournament today and see LegoLand. Between ice during the State Tournament and fire out here this has turned out to be one FLL season I am sure none of us will forget. We will send twitter updates @ashburnrobotics to keep everyone posted on the news.

Best regards

Many of you have expressed concern for our friends in LEGO Land in California given the ongoing nature's fury. The message below is from my counterpart there, Lynn Crocket.

Thanks, Nick! Yes it was somewhat close yesterday, but the Carlsbad fire is mostly contained, blue skies and still very hot and parched air now.

Legoland was closed yesterday as a precaution, due to the power surges. We were open today as usual and looking forward to a great weekend.

Thanks so much for your note and well wishes!

Lynn,

Hope you guys are safe out there. The national news paints a horrible picture and LEGO Land was right in the middle of it. We certainly had an appropriate theme for the year - let us know how you're doing - a lot of Virginia - DC FLLers are posting well wishes for you on our listserv and facebook page. Our thoughts are truly with you.

Nick
