My team had a very odd problem today with the robot.  This is my third year coaching.  I've never seen anything like this.  My team tried to adjust a mostly working problem.  They are trying to cut down a 280 degree B motor only turn.  As soon as they made the change, the turn became a lot wider (almost double).  They cut it down all the way to 20 degrees, the robot still turns a lot more than the original 280 degrees.  The block before the turn is a straight backup.

I thought something might be wrong with the motor sensor.  So the kids wrote a testing program just to do the 200 degree turn.  It worked perfectly.  When they cut and paste that same block to the right place, the robot started acting up the same way.  The odd thing is that when they run the original copy of the program, it worked the same way as before (mostly working but the turn really needs to be reduced for better accuracy).

We still have the original NXT 1.0 program.  Could that be a bug of the software?

I'd appreciate any suggestions you might offer.

Jane
