Some "extended" thoughts from the question -
Since there is no rule that explictily prohabit what LEGO wheels should be, it's okay for
1 - Don't use tires
2 - Use wheels / tires in OTHER LEGO sets.
3 - Use non-conventional "wheels" - how about use gears with or without motorcycle chains? How about use "claws" with NXT motors? - the robot can move with that kind of "wheels", right?
4 - Keep in mind that FLLers build the robots not cars. Robots mimic human's behaviors. When a man need to go somewhere "on foot" he usually walk. But what a man will do if he must go up a steep slop or climb up a cliff?
