On Saturday, November 13, 2010, we are pleased to announce that the Smithsonian Institute will host a Jr.FLL Exposition from 2:30 pm until 5pm. We will accommodate up to ten teams. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The registration fee for Jr.FLL teams will only be $30.

Location: Smithsonian's Ripley Center, 1100 Jefferson Drive, SW Washington, D.C. Metro Station: Smithsonian (Mall exit)
Spectator fees: None. Smithsonian Museums are free and open to the public starting at 10 am.
Parking fees: Parking in downtown DC is challenging. Recommend Metro or dropping team and equipment with another team adult at the Jefferson Street entrance - then park and return.

2:40 The JrFLL Expo Officially Opens to the Public
2:40 - 3:30 Jr.FLL Reviewers Visit Teams, Team Flag/Coloring Activity
3:30 - 3:55 Jr.FLL Reviewers Select Special Awards, Team Flag/Coloring Activity
3:55 Jr.FLL Teams line-up to prepare for Parade of Teams and High Fives Ceremony
4:00 Parade of Teams, High Fives Ceremony (followed by FLL Awards Ceremony)
At conclusion of ceremony, take down JrFLL displays and clean up
Food, Lunch, Snacks, Coolers:
A food concession will NOT be available at the tournament. Teams may bring their own lunches, snacks. There are a number of street vendors in the immediate area but no food is sold in the building. Food is not allowed near Show Me Posters and LEGO models.
FIRST Consent/Release Form:
At registration, coaches must submit a completed consent form for each team member (signed by a parent or guardian), mentor and coach. Team members will not be allowed to participate without these forms. Forms are available at www.vadcfll.org<http://www.vadcfll.org> > Tournaments
Team Registration Fee:
The Jr.FLL Expo fee will be $30.00. Only cash, checks or purchase orders will be accepted (checks are preferred). Please make checks payable to "Virginia/DC FIRST LEGO League" and be sure to write your Jr.FLL team number(s) on your check.
What to Bring:
* LEGO Model and extra batteries for your motor (if using WeDo, bring laptop and power strip)
* Show Me Poster
* Items to trade with other teams such as pins, buttons, etc. (optional - NO CANDY OR STICKERS PLEASE!)
* Gracious Professionalism
Rules and Reminders:
Don't bring valuable personal items. Store coats, etc. under your team table.
