I'm sending the ad below from my former department. This is a feminist-friendly department, about 45 minutes east of Los Angeles, built on the former Arabian horse ranch of the Kellogg family. There is an active Women's Faculty association and a GLBT Faculty/Staff association on campus, and also a strong union (CFA). Philosophy just led the development and approval of an interdisciplinary STS program, and there are great environmental programs on campus, including the Center for Regenerative Studies. The philosophy major is strong, and there is also a very fine Ethnic and Women's Studies department, where I had a courtesy appointment while there.
