The Pro*Doc "Human Life" at the Philosophical Seminar of the University of
Basel in connection with the Centre for Ethics in Zurich are hosting the
following conference:

"Disability and the Good Human Life"

Date: 3rd to 5th of June, 2010
Place: University of Basel, Switzerland

Organizers: PD Dr. Barbara Schmitz (Philosophisches Seminar, Basel)
              lic. phil. Franziska Felder (Centre for Ethics, Zurich)

Questions about the possibility and the content of a good human life for
disabled human beings are central to discussions both in bioethics and in
political philosophy. Our symposium aims to bring together scholars from
various fields and disciplines to discuss questions concerning the quality
of life for disabled people.
