From TechBrick: Photos of the new FTC System and Game

If you have an older FLL team or a students who have aged out of FLL consider FTC for this year or next. FTC takes all the fun of FLL and adds more sophisticated programming and robotics parts and tools along with robust challenges.

The are many reasons to keep your students in these programs, not the least of which is college entrance.

My daughter went to Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA for a potential student open house last month. In a room of 198 men and 2 women (one was Amy) the leader asked two questions: "How many of you have already done some programming? How many of you have been involved in FIRST?" They feel FIRST is a good foundation for STEM education and so do more than 200 other colleges and universities that offer scholarships to FIRST participants at the High School Level.

So take a look. We've got some photos of the new system and links to all of US FIRST's FTC resources.

For those of you who are FLL mentors the FTC program is very attractive. First, you can actually participate in the work. Second, it is largely run by the students themselves and does not require the same level of effort as FLL teams on the part of the mentors.
